Nokia N8 Mobile Phone review, features, price

The Nokia N8 Mobile Phone introduces a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and a large sensor that rivals those found in compact digital cameras. Additionally, the Nokia N8 offers the ability to make HD-quality videos and edit them with an intuitive built-in editing suite. Doubling as a portable entertainment center, people can delight in HD-quality video with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound by plugging into their home theatre system. The Nokia N8 enables access to Web TV services that deliver programs, news and entertainment from channels like CNN, Entertainment, Paramount and National Geographic. Additional local Web TV content is also available from the Ovi Store.

the N8 Mobile has picked up a number of new features such as multi-touch and gesture-based navigation and interaction, including gestures like pinch-to-zoom found on other mobile devices. To streamline your experience and interaction with the N8, there are three customizable homescreens with support for custom placement and selection of applications.

The Nokia N8 Cell Phone gets reviewed by the folks at Mobile Review. The Nokia N8 Mobile features a 3.5 capacitive touchscreen, 12-megapixel camera, 720p video capture at 30 frames per second, HDMI output, and Video on-Demand through the Ovi Store. Aside from its camera centric focus, the N8 will be the first handset to offer Symbian^3.

The Nokia N8 brings your friends together, by pulling feeds and updates from Facebook and Twitter to one handy application. Photos and videos can be shared the moment they're captured, Facebook events added to your calendar with just one click.

The Nokia N8 Mobile release date was pushed to Q3 2010 and the device will become the first with Symbian ^3. Although we had high hopes about the OS, the Finnish-based company doesn’t seem to understand that Symbian is not on our tastes anymore.

The Nokia N8 features an HDMI connection so you can easily show off your images, videos and music on compatible televisions and projectors. All in stunning high-definition digital 720p resolution. It also features premium-quality Dolby Digital Plus technology compatible with home theatre systems, so movies will sound as good as they look.

Nokia N900 Mobile Phone Review

Today, Nokia stands at a fascinating fork in the road. Let's consider the facts: first, and most unavoidably, the company is the largest manufacturer of cellphones in the world by a truly sobering margin

Nokia is facing a tide of ferocious competitors in the lucrative high-end smartphone market, but the company is on the move: Nokia is battling on multiple fronts a the same time: OS, app store, maps and devices. With the N900, Nokia wanted to build a "handheld computer with phone functionalities". I suspect that for prospective users, if it looks like a phone, it should work like a phone. Nokia has equipped the Nokia N900 with decent hardware: it has a 600Mhz processor (the same used in the Motorola Droid) that integrates a PowerVR SGX 530 graphics processor (OpenGL 2.0). Finally, the N900 runs Maemo, a Linux-based operating system that is backed by major players like Intel.

The N900 is the first phone from Nokia based on the Maemo Platform. Nokia has expressed their intentions to use Maemo in high-end phones. The Nokia N900
Nokia N900 is a Touchscreen, full QWERTY slider phone and one of most talked about members of the N-Series
N-Series recently

The Nokia N900 is one of the latest mobile computers to come from the Finnish mobile device maker. It has the same general shape as Nokia's earlier Internet Tablets: a slider with a large WVGA touchscreen and a landscape-oriented keyboard.

The first thing you notice about the N900 is its size. It's certainly hefty at 110.9 x 59.8 x 18mm, and the weight of 181g means it's not going to win any slimming contests either

Nokia N900 or Nokia Rover as some call it, is a first new internet tablet by Nokia that is based on Linux platform Maemo 5. The reference software is Maemo 5, an open-source solution daughter of the GNOME project.

LG KU990 Viewty Mobile Phone review

The LG KU990 Viewty Mobile Phone is a 3G phone which comes with a stylish touch screen. A large 3 Inch touch screen is the main feature on this desirable 3G phone. The handset is incredibly fashionable in design & is a high quality camera phone. The built in camera is a 5.1 megapixel camera which comes with easy to access camera & video features.

The LG KU990 Viewty Phone is a true powerhouse packing a mass of high-tech goodies under its hood: the impressive 3" touchscreen display with 240 x 400 pixels resolution, the HSDPA 3.6 Mbps capability, the stereo Bluetooth and the highly intriguing 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, which is also capable of capturing video at 120 fps.

The LG KU990 Viewty cell Phone might sound like it's a digital photo frame but it's actually LG's latest camera-phone that features an impressive ( 5 megapixel camera ) with autofocus and xenon flash. Not only can this handset brag about its camera, but it should also be very proud of its lovely large touchscreen, which lets you view images easily. On top of this, it has the ability to upload videos directly to YouTube and to shoot video at 120 frames per second, which allows you to slow it down and watch it in slow-motion. This feature's ideal for shooting fast-moving sports footage.

The LG KU990 Viewty is basically a souped-up LG Prada without the designer logo, and it's a very accomplished product. We loved the Prada's touchscreen user interface, and the Viewty retains the best features of the Prada, but with the addition of 3G, a 5 megapixel camera, an uprated video camera, more memory and longer battery life.

The LG KU990 Viewty Features & specifications:
Tri-band GSM/GPRS plus HSDPA support
5 megapixel autofocus camera with image stabilization
Camera strobe flash and focus assist beam
Secondary video camera for video calls
3" 262K color TFT touchscreen display with 240x400 pixels resolution
VGA video recording at 30 fps
QVGA video recording at 120 fps
TV-out support
Original stylus dongle
DivX video playback
Haptic feedback when the screen is pressed

Samsung i8510 INNOV8 Mobile Phone Review

The new Samsung uber-phone, called Samsung i8510 INNOV8 Mobile Phone, is finally in our hands. It packs so many goodies that it's hard to decide where to start from. It's not the first 8 megapixel handset but it's the best we've seen so far and better yet it's among the most loaded smartphones to see daylight. Everything about the i8510 INNOV8 speaks high-tech and since this is the case, we guess it has come to the right place, 'cause high-tech is what we do for a living.

You wouldn't be mistaken for thinking that the Samsung i8510 looks a lot like the Nokia N95 8GB. It's rather chunky, it's black and it packs a whole lot of features but look closer and you start to see the trademark industrial styling that differentiates Samsung from the rest of the crowd.

the Samsung i8510 INNOV8 Mobile will feel familiar to anyone that has used a Nokia N95 or N96 recently. The INNOV8 sports a very similar slider form factor, has a large 2.8" QVGA resolution display, and a camera located on the back. Very Nokia like. But there are a few items that show that Samsung has chosen the road less traveled for some of its solutions. For starters, the d-pad controller has an optical joystick controller embedded in it. Think of it as an upside down optical mouse. Moving one's finger across it will navigate in the appropriate direction, and when used with a mouse aware application, such as the S60 browser, the joystick gives users a very desktop like mouse pointer control.

it's easy to brush the small optical touchpad by mistake. It should also be noted that it's cumbersome to use unless you're browsing the Web, where it works very well for scrolling through pages.

Moving to the left hand side of the phone and starting from the top down you will find a lanyard / pendant hole, volume rocker switch, 3.5mm headphone socket and the generic Samsung charging port.

The Smsung i8510 innov8 is a tough-looking, relatively large phone that feels reassuringly solid a smooth slider mechanism brings it together. The i8510's screen packs some punch, but isn't as sharp as we expected, particularly when watching videos.

the Samsung i8510 INNOV8 Mobile Phone Features & specifications:
2.8" 16M-color TFT display of QVGA resolution
8 megapixel camera with mechanical shutter, automatic lens cover, dual PowerLED flash, digital image stabilizer, geotagging, auto panorama shot, face detection, smile detection, blink detection

LG KF310 Mobile Phone Preview

The LG KF310 Mobile Phone is a fashionable slider handset. A compact weight of just 95 grams which makes it ideal for carrying purposes. The 2" TFT screen is a great size for viewing your photos after you have used the 2 megapixel camera. Other great features include MP3 player, stereo Bluetooth, 60MB of memory plus an option to expand further using the microSD card slot

The KF310 is the mobile internet handset for the next generation.
Built-in support for MSN Messenger, Google services (including Search, Maps and GMail) and advanved internet functionality available via the 3G network put the KF310ahead of its challengers.

KF310’s Cell Phone design is not impressive, but more average and modest. Overall, its size is not very compact, but at least the weight of 3.4 oz (95 grams) is acceptable. It is made of plastic, which when touched reminds of the low class the phone belongs to.

the KF310 Mobile Phone is equipped with two cameras, the standard camera for photos on the back and a secondary camera for video-calling located above the screen on the front. The rear-facing camera has the minimum 2-megapixel specification, but we found the digital shutter works quickly, so the photos we took were Facebook-able. Internally, the KF310 supports up to 40MB of user-stored data, but it does come with a microSD card slot so this memory is expandable.

The KF310 comes with a 2.0 mega pixel main camera located at the back of the device, above the battery cover. LG has placed camera lens on the back of the top slider part in the past, which meant that to use the camera the slider needs to be open.

LG KM500 Mobile Phone Preview

The LG KM500 Mobile is the first music phone of the company and the first product from their new (M)line. According to LG, the KM500 Cell Phone is supposed to possess superior sound quality and stand out from other similar devices.

The LG KM500 Mobile Phone has a 2-inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels resolution, microSD card slot, GPRS/EDGE connection, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and a 2-megapixel camera.

LG KM500 features the basic ( slider ) design and strongly resembles the Chocolate series. Average in size (101.5 x 48 x 15 mm), but strangely excessively heavy (155 grams, including battery), the slider doesn't stand out from the crowd. Still, the materials used are by no means cheap, but neither too expensive, which is no wonder, as the phone is only middle class. I got a feeling that the South-Korean company could have done much better with the design, which is among the important traits for an LG device. Anyway, the phone has an average ergonomics, with a sliding mechanism that works with a little bit of difficulty. If it's not too slim, at least it's solid, compact and pretty sturdy.

The LG KM500 Phone is a tri-band mid level music oriented slider with dedicated player buttons around the D-pad. LG touts it for the new ‘Slim player’ (that is its name) music player and the music recognition systems.

The LG KM500 Cell Phone also supports and displays MP4 video files that can be viewed on its 2-inch (diagonal) TFT screen
TFT screen displays more than 260,000 colors for depth, brightness and clarity
Bluetooth and camera functions
KM500 has an on-board capacity for up to 1,000 entries in the phonebook and contact list
Features alarm, calendar, and calculator and to-do lists

Motorola ROKR E8 Mobile Phone Review

The Motorola ROKR E8 Mobile Phone is a first-class music phone with a whopping 2GB of memory built in, and support for an additional 4GB memory card. It's a sleek, minimalist phone with a context-sensitive touchscreen that works very well. Other features include an FM radio, 2 megapixel camera, web browser, quadband and an excellent battery life

The Motorola ROKR E8 is not a particularly small device, measuring in at 115mm x 53mm x 10.6mm. It isn't especially large for a handset these days, but considering that it's relatively light on features I'd have expected it to be smaller. Don't let that deter you though, because the device's size is offset by it's unusual, attractive design. When first gazing upon the ROKR E8, you'll notice that the keypad doesn't appear to have any numbers, or even any keys.

the Motorola Rokr E8 hits some high marks. Its music player performs well and its feature set should satisfy multimedia fans. It also offers decent call quality, a brilliant display, and a sleek profile. Of course, it was the Rokr E8's "morphing" keypad that caught our attention originally, and that feature largely lives up to our expectations. We like how the backlighting changes as you move between features and how the keypad takes on the ergonomics of both a cell phone and a music player.

The Motorola ROKR E8 has some good messaging options, though we did have difficulty setting up our accounts. SMS and MMS messaging worked just fine, and we liked the way the phone can accept music files as message attachments. Instant messaging was also available for AOL, MSN, Yahoo and ICQ, which is a rarity these days. The messaging clients were all fairly standard, nothing surprising. We had trouble setting up the phone's e-mail client to check our Gmail account, but poor reception could be to blame. The phone asked us for our e-mail address and password, and seemed to be setting up our account.

The Rokr E8's sleek candy-bar design is reminiscent of earlier Motorola phones such as the Slvr L7. However, unlike the Slvr, the E8 doesn't look like a flattened Razr V3. Instead, it has its own style that is attractive without being ostentatious. Its dark blue color scheme is so dark that it almost looks black, and the "glasslike surface" makes the phone sparkle. This is one handset we wouldn't mind showing off. At 4.52 inches tall by 2.09 inches wide by 0.42 inch thick, the E8 is rather tall, but its slim profile makes up for the extra bulk.

Motorola ROKR E8 Features & specifications:
OS Linux / Java-based MOTOMAGX

Motorola RAZR2 V9 Mobile Phone Review

The Motorola RAZR2 V9 Mobile Phone is almost exactly the same as the RAZR2 V8, except that it's a 3G version, with a high-speed HSDPA implementation of 3G, enabling fast downloads at up to 3.6 Mbps. It also allows you to make video calls on a 3G network and can accept a microSD memory card.

The Motorola RAZR2 V9 comes in the form of a sleek & stylish clamshell opening 3G handset. The RAZR2 V9 is a member of the RAZR family which is a popular Motorola family which oozes style & sophistication. The RAZR family includes other mobile handsets including the Motorola RAZR V3, Motorola RAZR V3i, Motorola RAZR V3x, Motorola RAZR V3xx & the Motorola RAZR2 V8. The RAZR2 V9 is a multimedia focused 3G phone which comes in a strong & durable casing. The phone comes in a rich red coloured casing which is made from stainless steel & has an eye catching effect. The 3G clamshell phone comes with dual colour screens which provide the user with two high resolution screens which are viewable both internally & externally.

The Razr2 V9 is AT&T's version of the Razr2, and it has all the same features plus a few that are tailor-made for AT&T. It has HSDPA support, which also lends itself to access to AT&T's broadband services like Cellular Video and AT&T Music. The bottom row of the external screen is also dedicated to music player controls, which is different from the Razr2s from Sprint and Verizon. There are a few issues with the design, like the lack of one-button access to the music player and certain hard to press keys, but we like its overall aesthetic.

While the Motorola Razr2 V9 was a good fit in our palm, people with petite hands may struggle to wrap their digits around the phone. At 53 millimetres across, it's the same width as the first RAZR.

The Motorola Razr V9 is very similar in design to the V9m. In fact, with the exception of the color difference, the casual user would never notice a difference. However, the V9 comes in at 1.6mm thicker and 7g heavier that the V8 and V9m, and the size and especially weight difference are noticeable when holding the two units.

The touchscreen user interface can sometimes be a little slow and more complicated to use than conventional phones, but we've got to say just how impressed we are by its robustness.

the Samsung i900 Omnia boasts loads of character and personality it's no wonder it holds the crowd hooked ever since it was announced. The first five megapixel Windows Mobile cameraphone has inspired quite a following and now that it's already market available in Europe we are more than happy to welcome the Omnia back after a well deserved breather. Well then, we've seen it race, let's watch it cruise.

The only other items of note are found on the edge of the phone. The left edge is home to the Samsung power/headset/USB connector and a lanyard loop, and the right edge is where the volume, camera, and Samsung menu keys are found. A somewhat finicky power/standby button is on the top edge of the phone, next to an old-school reset button. There is no externally accessible microSD card slot, though. The microSD slot is found under the rear cover and requires that the battery be removed in order to access it. Since the Omnia has 8 or 16GB of internal storage.

The screen on the Samsung i900 Omnia dominates the front as it is a 3.2 WQVGA Touchscreen, above you can see the small VGA camera, and below is the a Talk Speakerphone button and an End device lock key, these straddle the centred Trackpad.
Inside the back of the device is the side by side SIM card holder and the microSDHC card holder.

Samsung F480 Mobile Phone review

The Samsung F480 Tocco Mobile Phone has a good music player (as you'd expect) that can play most file formats and has the advantage over the F490 of having an FM radio included. We're also delighted to see the huge amount of memory supplied: 240 Mbytes of internal memory, plus the option to add up to 8 Gbytes of microSD memory.

The Samsung F480 is a fashionable & slim 3G HSDPA mobile phone which comes with a high quality 5 megapixel camera complete with a built in flash & auto focus & the large 2.8 Inch screen makes a great viewing screen. The Samsung F480 is really a mobile fashion statement in its own sense. It has a lot of features that makes it very convenient for business transactions and communication purposes. Motorola Q 9h Mobile Phone Review

The Motorola Q 9h Mobile Phone runs on Windows Mobile 6 Standard, which among other things means it supports push email through Exchange Servers, in addition to letting you set up push email via a Windows Live Hotmail account. You now also have the option to access emails through a BlackBerry server, using RIM's Windows Mobile 6 application.

the Motorola Q9h Phone is more about messaging and productivity. The smartphone still runs Windows Mobile 6 Standard Edition, so you get Microsoft's Direct Push Technology out of the box for real-time e-mail delivery and automatic synchronization with your Outlook calendar, tasks, and contacts via Exchange Server. The Q9h also works with other e-mail solutions, including AT&T Xpress Mail and Good Mobile Messaging. (BlackBerry Connect will be available as a downloadable client later this year.) You can access POP3 and IMAP accounts as well; a handy wizard is on board to walk you through the process, and it really just requires entering your user name and password. You also have the option of choosing how frequently you want the device to retrieve messages.

the Motorola Q 9h Mobile will always be the keypad, and this is an area where it truly shines. Despite there being no space between the keys, their highly convex shape makes it simple to find the correct key. The Q 9h is one of the first devices that I have used that I was able to type on with a reasonable speed right from the word go, with very little in the way of a learning curve. Below the alphanumeric keys and beside the spacebar sit five shortcut keys, representing, from left to right, the calendar, phonebook, media player, camera, and voice commands. These keys can be very handy. There really is only one negative about the keypad on the Q 9h, and that is its finish. It has a rubbery feeling soft-touch material covering, which unfortunately does not aid at all with grip,

The Motorola Q9h's Mobile full QWERTY keyboard is one of the best we've seen and used to date. Although there isn't much spacing between the individual buttons, they're large enough that even users with larger thumbs shouldn't have too much of a problem. The bubbly keys are tactile and brightly backlit for typing in darker environments. For easier dialing

Motorola Q9h or previously known as Q Q9, is a 3G HSDPA GSM phone, based on the idea of the Motorola Q. The original Q was announced in CDMA and GSM flavors, but launched only in CDMA. The US customers were able to use it with various carriers (Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, AMPd and other) and it was available in some other countries (Canada for example)which have CDMA carriers, but the most-popular GSM standard was ignored. The Q GSM didn’t shipped and more than year later Motorola re-announced it in a new name, as Q8.

the Motorola Q 9h offers the complete user experience. The Motorola Q 9h’s quad-band technology lets users stay connected effortlessly across the globe. Whether in Las Vegas or London, the MOTO Q 9h packs in a host of features to keep you entertained for hours.³ Capture life’s precious moments with an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera and for the music lover, this masterpiece is integrated with Windows Media and access to over 200 music libraries.

Motorola Q8 Mobile Phone Review

Motorola Q8 Mobile Phone ensures that you always stay connected with the rest of the world - be it your office people, your family or your friends. With the quad-band network, which operates on GSM 850-900-1800-1900, the mobile phone ensures that you are able to send and receive text messages, emails and attachments anywhere and everywhere in the world. Motorola Q8 also has quad band GPRS, high speed EDGE data networks and WiFi. So, stay connected!

The Motorola Q8 runs on a Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard edition. Since it doesn’t have a touchscreen, the OS may not look like your regular Windows Mobile OS. I have no complaints as navigating this menu is much easier. Unfortunately there seem to be some quirks with the OS. For example, in the Messaging menu, you have to keep going to Options > Folders to view messaging folders (like Drafts and Sent Items). The view will stick to the one option selected, and if you roll back it’ll take you to the main Messaging menu. Quite annoying.

the Motorola Q8 have Bluetooth wireless technology, astounding audio sound and a 1.3 megapixel camera to blazing fast Internet connections, convenient WiFi through optional miniSDIO card connectivity and the ability to view and edit Microsoft Office documents from anywhere in the world - there’s no need to compromise when you can have it all in one device. The below is the technical data of Motorola Q8 Smarthphones.

The Motorola Q's features aren't as revolutionary as its design. That's not to say the Q lacks functionality, but it doesn't offer anything that the other Windows Mobile smart phones don't have. As we mentioned earlier, the Moto Q runs Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone Edition, which means you won't get the full Mobile Office Suite no Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, or PowerPoint Mobile. Instead, the Q comes preloaded with Picsel Viewer so that you can view but not edit said files; the app also lets you open PDFs. The device has 128MB of flash memory and 64MB of RAM, with roughly 60MB of user-accessible memory. If you plan on carrying a lot of work documents or multimedia files, do yourself a favor and get a Micro SD card, as none are included in the box.

Motorola Q8 Mobile Phone Features& specifications:
OS Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard Edition

Messaging SMS, MMS, Email
Browser HTML (Pocket IE)
Radio No
Games Yes
