Samsung i900 Omnia Mobile Phone Reviews

The Samsung i900 Omnia Mobile is a smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.1. This has a number of advantages. Firstly, the user interface will be familiar to PC users, even including a mobile version of Internet Explorer for web browsing. Secondly, the system enables convenient access to Office documents such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word (for editing as well as viewing). Thirdly, you can download third-party applications and install them on your phone. The phone comes pre-installed with very comprehensive personal organiser functions. The touchscreen user interface can sometimes be a little slow and more complicated to use than conventional phones, but we've got to say just how impressed we are by its robustness.

Samsung OMNIA SGH-i900 brings together high performance business content, top of the range style and a fun, dynamic multi-media experience, to ensure consumers are always connected both at home and at work. OMNIA, meaning ‘everything’ in Latin and Arabic, goes beyond the current top of the line features available in today’s mobile phones.

the Samsung i900 Omnia boasts loads of character and personality it's no wonder it holds the crowd hooked ever since it was announced. The first five megapixel Windows Mobile cameraphone has inspired quite a following and now that it's already market available in Europe we are more than happy to welcome the Omnia back after a well deserved breather. Well then, we've seen it race, let's watch it cruise.

The only other items of note are found on the edge of the phone. The left edge is home to the Samsung power/headset/USB connector and a lanyard loop, and the right edge is where the volume, camera, and Samsung menu keys are found. A somewhat finicky power/standby button is on the top edge of the phone, next to an old-school reset button. There is no externally accessible microSD card slot, though. The microSD slot is found under the rear cover and requires that the battery be removed in order to access it. Since the Omnia has 8 or 16GB of internal storage.

The screen on the Samsung i900 Omnia dominates the front as it is a 3.2 WQVGA Touchscreen, above you can see the small VGA camera, and below is the a Talk Speakerphone button and an End device lock key, these straddle the centred Trackpad.
Inside the back of the device is the side by side SIM card holder and the microSDHC card holder.
